Overview
Entice is Napoleon’s slim wall-mounted electric fireplace. It hangs on the wall like a picture and plugs into a power point, or it can be recessed for a flush finish. LED flames dance over a bed of crystals, with no flue, gas or fuel, and the heater can run with the flames or be left off.
Why choose the Entice 42
- Slim. Only 139 mm deep, so it sits close to the wall.
- Plug and play. It comes with a power cord and plugs into a 240 V power point. No gas fitter and no flue.
- Three ways to install. Wall mounted, partly recessed or fully recessed.
- Choose your colours. 10 flame colours and 10 ember bed colours, each with a colour cycle, plus four flame brightness levels and five speeds.
- Heat when you want it. Up to 1.6 kW on low or high, with a thermostat. The flames run with or without heat.
- Easy to use. Remote control and touch panel, with a timer from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
- Heater lock. A child safety lock disables the heater.
- Certified for Australia. Tested to the Australian and New Zealand standard for electric room heaters.
- 2 year warranty. Parts for two years, with labour covered in the first year.

FAQs
Does it need a flue or gas?
No. It is electric. There is no flue, no chimney, no gas and nothing to burn, so there is no smoke, ash or fumes.
Can I install it myself?
Wall mounted, yes: it hangs on the bracket supplied and plugs into a power point. Napoleon recommends two people, and asking a builder about your wall type first.
If you recess it and want it hard-wired, that part must be done by a licensed electrician.
What power does it need?
It is plug and play. It comes with a power cord and plugs into a 240 V power point on its own 10 amp earthed circuit. Napoleon says not to use an extension cord or power board, and not to place the fireplace directly below a power point.
If you would rather have it hard-wired, that must be done by a licensed electrician.
How do I control it?
With the remote control supplied or the touch panel on the fireplace. You can set the flame colour, brightness and speed, the ember bed colour and brightness, the heat, the thermostat and a timer from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
Will it heat my room?
It has a built-in fan heater with a thermostat, and the heat output is in the Specifications tab. That is similar to a plug-in electric heater, so it takes the chill off the room you are sitting in. It is not a replacement for your main heating.
You can also run the flames with the heat off, all year round.
Can I put a TV above it?
Warm air comes out of the fireplace, and Napoleon warns that heat on the wall above can damage a TV or other electronics. Keep at least the mantel clearance shown in the Specifications tab, and check what your TV maker allows. A shelf or mantel between the fireplace and the TV helps to deflect the heat.
What is included?
The fireplace with its front glass, small and medium crystal embers, the remote control, the wall bracket and fixings, side cover panels, framing brackets, cord covers and the manual. Log sets are an optional extra.
What is the warranty?
Napoleon covers parts for 2 years from the date of installation. Labour for warranty repairs is covered in the first year. Keep your proof of purchase.
