Overview
Astound FlexMount is Napoleon’s premium electric fireplace. Hang it on the wall and plug it in, or build it into a wall with one, two or three sides showing. Logs, glass embers and LED flames give the look of a fire with no flue, gas or fuel, and the heater can run with the flames or be left off.

- Plug and play. It comes with a power cord and plugs into a 240 V power point. No gas fitter and no flue.
- Three ways to install. Wall mounted, partly recessed or fully built in. The trims and side panels for recessing come in the box.
- One, two or three sided. Built in, the glass ends can be left open for a corner or a three-sided view.
- A full fire bed. Logs, two kinds of glass embers, charcoal and rocks are all included.
- Set the look. Orange and yellow flames with separate brightness, five flame speeds, 13 ember bed colours and a coloured top light.
- Heat when you want it. Up to 1.9 kW with a thermostat, an ECO mode at half heat and a 30-minute Boost. The flames run with or without heat.
- Control from your phone. Wi-Fi and the Napoleon Home app, plus the remote control and the touch panel. A wall-mounted controller is an optional extra.
- Seven-day timer. Set on and off times and a temperature for each day.
- Certified for Australia. Tested to the Australian and New Zealand standard for electric room heaters.
- 3 year warranty. Parts for three years, with labour covered in the first year.

- For indoor use only. Napoleon states it is not suitable for a bathroom.

- Keep curtains, furniture and bedding at least 914 mm away from the front.
- It adds warmth to the room you are in. It is not a replacement for your main heating.
- It is heavy and the glass is fragile: allow two people to lift and install it.

Flue requirements
No flue required. Electric.
Clearance requirements
Keep curtains, furniture, bedding and other combustible items at least 914 mm away. A mantel or shelf must be at least 100 mm above a wall-mounted fireplace, or 76 mm above a recessed one. Do not cover the heater vents.
FAQs
Does it need a flue or gas?
No. It is electric. There is no flue, no chimney, no gas and nothing to burn, so there is no smoke, ash or fumes.
Can I install it myself?
Wall mounted, yes: it hangs on the bracket supplied and plugs into a power point. Napoleon recommends two people, and asking a builder about your wall type first.
Building it into a wall is a job for a builder, who frames the opening. The fireplace still just plugs in, so have a licensed electrician fit a power point where the cord can reach it.
What power does it need?
It is plug and play. It comes with a power cord and plugs into a 240 V power point on its own 10 amp earthed circuit. Napoleon says not to use an extension cord or power board, and not to place the fireplace directly below a power point.
If you would rather have it hard-wired, that must be done by a licensed electrician.
How do I control it?
With the remote control supplied, the touch panel on the fireplace, or the Napoleon Home app on your phone over Wi-Fi. You can set the flame colour and brightness, flame speed, ember bed colour, top light, heat, thermostat and a seven-day timer. A wall-mounted controller is an optional extra.
Will it heat my room?
It has a built-in fan heater with a thermostat, and the heat output is in the Specifications tab. That is similar to a plug-in electric heater, so it takes the chill off the room you are sitting in. It is not a replacement for your main heating.
You can also run the flames with the heat off, all year round.
Can I put a TV above it?
Warm air comes out of the fireplace, and Napoleon warns that heat on the wall above can damage a TV or other electronics. Keep at least the mantel clearance shown in the Specifications tab, and check what your TV maker allows. A shelf or mantel between the fireplace and the TV helps to deflect the heat.

What is the warranty?
Napoleon gives a 3 year limited warranty on parts, from the date of installation. Labour for warranty repairs is covered in the first year. Keep your proof of purchase.
