Overview

The Mt Blanc Tunnel 970 is the double-sided version of the Mt Blanc: a see-through wood fireplace that can be enjoyed from two rooms.

Why choose the Mt Blanc Tunnel 970

  • Big view of the fire. A large glass window with a deep firebox.
  • Your choice of door. 2 swing doors or 1 vertical lift-up door: choose when you add it to your cart.
  • Clean burning. Primary and secondary air with three-stage combustion keeps the glass clear.
  • Built to last. A cast iron firebox lined with vermiculite, inside a painted steel body with smoke- and odour-free Senotherm paint.
  • Outside air ready. Combustion air can be ducted in from outside, and it is prepared for automatic combustion control.
  • Heat other rooms. Works with natural convection, hot-air ducting to other rooms or a heat-storing enclosure.
  • Made in Europe. Built by Kobok in Slovakia, with a 5 year warranty on the steel body.

Before you buy

  • It is built into a non-combustible enclosure (for example Skamotec board or refractory blocks), never timber framing. Installation, the hearth and the surround are not included.
  • It needs a flue: 9 inch (230 mm), at least 4.5 m long, with triple-skin flue above the enclosure. Your installer supplies and fits the flue kit.
  • A licensed installer must fit it, following the installation guide under Downloads, and issue a certificate of compliance for the flue.
  • Kobok fireplaces are ordered in from the Australian importer and shipped from Mansfield, Victoria. Ask us about stock and delivery times before you order.
