Overview

LogicWood is a built-in bioethanol fire from Decoflame, made in Denmark. Real flames rise between ceramic logs over a bed of ember glass that is lit from underneath, so you get the look of a wood fire without wood, ash, a flue or a gas line. It plugs into a power point and runs from a remote, your phone or the panel on the burner.

Why choose LogicWood

  • Looks like a wood fire. The flames are split across separate flame lines, so the ceramic logs sit between the flames instead of covering them.
  • Glows with the flame off. The LED lighting under the ember glass can stay on by itself for a warm glow without a fire.
  • No flue, chimney or gas connection. It needs an earthed power point and bioethanol fuel.
  • Easy to run. Automatic ignition, five flame levels plus an ECO mode, and a pump for filling the tank.
  • Safety built in. Automatic emergency shut-off, spill and safety sensors, and a CO₂ sensor. The burner burns ethanol vapour rather than an open pool of liquid fuel.
  • Long burn time. Up to 20.5 hours from a full tank, depending on the flame level.
  • Clean burning. No smoke, soot or ash.
  • 2 year warranty. Up to 7 years when you buy an extended warranty.

FAQs

Does the LogicWood need a flue or chimney?

No. Decoflame’s datasheet lists a chimney as not required, and there is no gas connection.

It does need a room that is big enough: at least 62 m³ for the 720 mm, 85 m³ for the 920 mm and 108 m³ for the 1120 mm. With a 2.4 m ceiling that works out to a floor area of about 26, 35 and 45 m².

Does it need power?

Yes. LogicWood has an electronic burner, so it plugs into an earthed power point. Decoflame specifies a 240 V, 10 amp power point. The power runs the ignition, the controls, the safety sensors and the LED ember lighting. The flame itself burns bioethanol.

What fuel does it use, and how long does a tank last?

It burns bioethanol at 96.5 to 97.5% strength. The built-in tank holds 5.3 L (720 mm), 6.6 L (920 mm) or 8.3 L (1120 mm). A full tank burns for up to 20.5 hours, depending on the flame level you choose. On the highest flame level, allow about 8 to 10 hours.

For longer running, Decoflame offers an automatic external tank system as an optional extra. Ask us for a price.

How do I control it?

With the remote control supplied, the Decoflame app on your phone, or the LCD panel on the burner. There are five flame levels plus an ECO mode. A smart home module is available as an optional extra.

How much heat does it give off?

Decoflame rates the nominal heat output at 2.9 kW for the 720 mm, 3.9 kW for the 920 mm and 5.6 kW for the 1120 mm.

What does my builder need to know?

LogicWood is for indoor use and must be built into non-combustible material. Each size needs a cut-out 300 mm high and 200 mm deep, and 705, 905 or 1105 mm wide. Decoflame’s drawing calls for 500 mm of free space above the fireplace and at least 250 mm of free space below it, so the burner can be lowered in and handled.

The dimension and cut-out drawing for each size is under Downloads on this page. Give it to your builder or joiner before the opening is made, and have a licensed electrician fit the power point.

What is included, and what is not?

Included: the LogicWood burner with its built-in fuel tank, ceramic logs, ember glass, ember fibre, remote control and the external fuel pump for filling.

Not included: the wall, bench or surround shown in the photos, and the optional smart home module and automatic tank system.

What is the warranty?

It comes with a 2 year warranty. You can extend this to up to 7 years by buying an extended warranty. Ask us for details when you order.

How long does delivery take?

We confirm stock and delivery time with Decoflame when you order. If you are working to a build date, contact us before you buy and we will check for you.
