Overview
This is Decoflame’s manual bioethanol burner in brushed stainless steel, made in Denmark. It sets into a wall opening, bench or existing fireplace and gives a line of real flame with no power, flue, chimney or gas line. You light it by hand and control the flame with the tool supplied.
Why choose the manual burner
- Simple to use. Fill it, light it with a long lighter, and put it out by closing the burner with the shutter tool.
- Adjustable flame. Slide the shutter to set the flame height. A lower flame gives a longer burn.

The 545, 745 and 945 mm sizes are a burner with a lip that drops into a cut-out. The 1000, 1100 and 1500 mm sizes are a burner set in a 250 mm deep baseplate.

Toughened clear glass screens are an optional extra. Decoflame recommends a glass screen wherever there is any draught.
Before you buy

- This is a manual burner. If you want push-button ignition and a remote control, look at the Decoflame F2, F3 or F6.
- Decoflame designs its fires to add warmth and atmosphere alongside your main heating, not to replace it.

Clearance requirements
Build into non-combustible material. A TV or artwork above the fire should be at least 800 mm above it. Less is allowed only with a recess or shelf as shown on the datasheet under Downloads.
FAQs
Does it need a flue or chimney?
No. Decoflame bioethanol fires do not need a flue, a chimney or a gas connection.
The room does need to be big enough. Where Decoflame gives a minimum room size, it is in the Specifications tab. Decoflame also advises letting in fresh air while the fire is running, for example by opening a window for 5 to 10 minutes or leaving a door to the next room open.
Does it need power?
No. It is a manual burner, lit by hand with a long lighter. There is no power point, gas line or flue to connect.
What fuel does it use, and how long does a tank last?
It burns liquid bioethanol at 96.5 to 97.5% strength, with nothing added. Do not use gel fuel or scented fuel.
The 545, 745 and 945 mm sizes burn for 7 hours or more on a full tank. The 1000, 1100 and 1500 mm sizes burn for 4 to 7 hours. A lower flame gives a longer burn.
Will it heat my room?
It gives off real heat, and the heat output is in the Specifications tab. Decoflame designs its fires to add warmth and atmosphere alongside your main heating, not to replace it.
What does my builder need to know?
The burner must be built into non-combustible material. The 545, 745 and 945 mm sizes drop into a cut-out 535, 735 or 935 mm long, 125 mm wide and at least 75 mm deep. The larger sizes sit in a baseplate 250 mm deep.
A TV or artwork above should be at least 800 mm above the fire, unless it is recessed or shielded by a shelf as shown on the datasheet.

What is included, and what is not?
Included: the brushed stainless steel burner with its safety chamber, the shutter tool, a cleaning sponge and a fuel pump for filling.
Not included: the wall, bench or surround it is built into, glass screens (an optional extra) and the fuel.
What is the warranty?
It comes with a 2 year warranty. You can extend this to up to 7 years by buying an extended warranty. Ask us for details when you order.
